Milled Studs

Studs act as guide pins during component installations and hold parts in place.  This allows for easily installation of nuts.

One of the benefits of milled studs is that they are stationary.  Because studs don’t bottom out on the hole, you can tighten the bolt for a greater clamping load.  Studs are also versatile.  They are common in turbine engines, transmission and gear box applications, and in part alignment of hydraulic control valves in the aerospace industry.

Our milled studs are double ended.  They come standard with a Class 5 thread fit on one end, and a Class 2A thread fit on other.  This design helps to provide self-locking, friction-fit for the stud.  They have a tensile strength of 85,000 PSI.
